I want a cigarette, but my damaged nerve endings have begun to re-grow! Bless 'em, little fighters :')
Mum told me, in a fortnight my body won't even know what nicotine is. I can't wait for these next two weeks to be over. >.<

Day 1
It's been just over 24 hours since my last cigarette and the cravings kicked in ages ago. However I recently found out I can get patches/gum etc on the NHS, in less than a week, so the cravings won't last long.
I'm in a shitty mood, I'm biting people's heads off, and I can't concentrate. I hope this shit doesn't last long.
If I can quit completely by New Year, I'll be jogging + losing weight really easily. I can't wait.
These are the typical side effects of quitting smoking. The ones in red are the ones I'm NOT having today ^^
20 MinutesYour blood pressure returns to its usual level.
Your pulse rate slows to normal.
Your circulation has improved enough that your hands and feet warm to normal temperature.
4 HoursHalf the carbon monoxide from your last cigarette has left your bloodstream.
8 HoursThe carbon monoxide from your last cigarette is now gone from your bloodstream.
Your blood now carries a normal amount of oxygen.
24 HoursYour chance of a heart attack is lower.
48 HoursDamaged nerve endings start to re-grow.
Your sense of smell and taste have improved.
2 Weeks to 3 MonthsYour circulation is better.
Walking and physical activity is easier.
Lung function increases up to thirty percent.
1 to 9 MonthsYou cough less.
You have more energy.
You don't become short of breath as easily.
The cilia re-grow in your lungs and you will have less phlegm and infection.

Day 7
Was under a massive amount of stress today. Gave into weakness and bought a pack of 10. Back to square one.

Day 5
Cravings are still here, but they're not taking over like they were. I'm in the stages I was when I first started smoking, the mindset of "Hmm, I fancy a cigarette. Oh well, I'll ___________ instead."
Appetite has stabilised, and I can make it all the way to the 4th floor without stopping! Coughing up some gunk today and this will probably carry on/get worse as the days go on, however I'm optimistic that the cravings will become even less. Feeling pretty positive.

Day 2
I am fucking miserable. My concentration is screwed and I can't work. I feel inadequate and angry and very irritable. Massive appetite. However, after 48 hours I've noticed an immediate improvement in my breathing. I am no longer coughing the house down at night.
